I would head in the direction of php and mySQL for database driven CMS sites. More people are wanting much more control over the content of their sites and so want to be able to edit it them selves.

I have just recently started learning web design & programming. I have just completed an XHTML & CSS course and now trying to decide which course to take next. I'm seeing a lot of need for those that have PHP skill, but I also see a lot of need for Javascript, C#, C++, VB, etc. Can someone please help me lead me in the right direction.

To help your advice, my goal is to start freelancing website design and hope to move into my own business. Thank you all for any advice.
