My understanding is this: Dash > underscore in URLs because underscores are hard to see in underlined links and SEs see dashes as spaces.

If this is true, what do they see underscores as?

I ask because I'm doing something right now that automatically uses underscores and not dashes (I don't think I can change it unless there's some funky thing with mod_rewrite).

Is it worth finding a solution to remove the underscores and use dashes instead?

    2. Honestly I don't really know the difference in dash vs underscore, I personally use underscores alot in my coding scripts and sites. However, while searching Google I found this article that says its best to use dashes when it comes to Search Engines.

I'm sure there are more resources on this topic.

it depends what you're urls look like and whether the keywords are worth the effort involved.

SE's (google anyway) see words seperated by an underscore as one word.
