I am having a problem with illustrator CS 2. It seems my black selection arrow no longer works. For example, If i draw a rectangle, I cant resize it, If i use the black arrow to select it, it acts like the direct select arrow and I only get the little squares in the corner. I dont get the larger boxes that allow you to resize an object. This is PC based, but i assume its a problem that could happen on either platform. I tried to do a reinstall off a CS - 2 disc. and it did not fix the problem. All help would be appreciated.

      Thanks,

Is your bounding box set to hide? (under View click Show binding box)

I will bet that's the issue
Its really easy to turn off by accident (Crtl h) right next to Cntrl g)

heh it's a common problem. So easy to hit Cntrl H instead of Cntrl G

    5. I have the exact same problem - direct selection tool has a bounding box, and the selection tool wont let me rotate or resize. And no amount of hiding and un-hiding the bounding box has helped.

I had to reinstall my CS2 onto my new computer, I've never had this problem before.
